The House Doctor was established in 1968 by the Late Mannie De Freitas (Snr).
In 2000 his son, Manny took over the company, Mannie Snr passed away in 2008.

The House doctor is a General Contractor specialising in:
1. Ceilings & Cornices
2. Drywalling (including Soundproofing)
3. Insulation
4. Painting
5. Building
6. Roofing & Waterproofing (including Guttering)
&
7. Other general repairs.


1 Ceilings: Repair & installation of;
Standard Rhinoboard (Herculite) Ceilings
Flush Plastered (Rhinolited) Ceilings
Nutec Ceilings
Knotty Pine Tongue & Groove Ceilings
Suspended (Acoustic) Ceilings (Panel Ceilings).
Isoboard Ceilings
Custom Bulkheads
Supply & fitment of all types of Cornices

2. Drywalling:
We supply & install drywall partitioning with or without windows, doorways etc.

3. Insulation:
We supply & install Isotherm Ceiling Insulation

4. Painting:
Painting of Interior & exterior walls.

5. Building:
We under take minor building projects like;
Bathroom & Kitchen Renovation
Building of Walls
Patios Construction
Paving
Plastering
Repairing Cracks
Tiling
Etc.
6. Roofing & Waterproofing:
We undertake roof repairs, install new IBR/Corrugated, Flat & Concrete roofing.
We also do all types of waterproofing to all roof types (tiled, corrugated/IBR roofs, flat (level)
We supply & install Gutters.
We Service & repair guttering.
7. Other general services include;
Supply & Hanging of Doors
Supply & Fitting of Skirtings (Supawood or Meranti)
Plastering & Rhinoliting
Damp Damage repair
General home maintenance.


We operate, primarily, in the greater Johannesburg area including Midrand.

    The House Doctor ...
    Roofing, Ceilings, Painting and general House Upkeep and Repair Work ... these are all areas where The House Doctor can transform and add real value to your property. In my case the well managed team repaired my whole roof perimeter : drainpiping , tiling, battens etc They also added roofed areas to my house. Excellent Quality Work.

    Great Service

    Good sound advice and workmanship
    We needed to upgrade and fix issues in our home and reading some reviews we decided to contact the House Doctor. Manny the owner have insightful advice and he did a great job of really listening to what we wanted. He guided us through every step and made an overwhelming process stress-free. With additional advice that saved us on the initial costing and time. With the project completed, we would say that not only are we over-the-top satisfied with our new open plan living area, we feel we have become friends with the folks at The House Doctor. Their attention to detail is unbelievable, and it shows in the final product We would not hesitate to recommend The House Doctor and their team for any type of home remodeling and or upgrades.
