You must also remember to wear the appropriate protection when doing the job, this includes rubber gloves, rubber boots, goggles and a disposable coverall and a respirator. 

Try keep the rest of the memebers of the house away from the room when doing the work, after you have packed all the abestos material into a safe waste bag, you can wipe all the surfaceswith a wet cloth, try avoid vacuuming and sweeping. Also use the damp cloth to clean any tools you used forthe job. The clothes and coverall you were wearing can be thrown and cleaned, you must then shower and clean your whole body thoroughly.
