Boundary Beacon Relocation Surveys-
Property beacons are relocated/replaced, and a land surveyor's beacon certificate is issued.

Topographical Surveys-
These are done based on the normal requirements of architects for the design purposes of a project. The survey depicts all visible existing infrastructural services, swimming pool, edges of roads/tar, parking area, stormwater and foul manhole inverts, and generally all street furniture, if any have been installed, and a sufficient number of spot heights to depict the topography of the land.

Engineering Surveys-
This involves construction surveys whereby engineers' design plans are used to
determine the positions on the ground of structures to be built. This involves
setting out columns, and roads, building corners, and monitoring these
structures as they are constructed

The Planning, Creation, and Maintenance of Property require the services of a Professional Land Surveyor by Law. If you require a Subdivision, Consolidation, Land Audit Report, Planning application, Beacon Relocation, or Removal of Restrictive Conditions in Title Deeds, then you need the expertise and services of a Professional Land Surveyor

Surveyors are governed under the Geomatics Profession Act No.19 of 2013 by the South African Geomatics Council (SAGC). As a Statutory Council, SAGC has four broad categories of registration.

By contrast, unregistered surveyors are people who either have little or no academic training in surveying and are therefore not eligible for registration, or do not want to subject themselves to the legislated code of conduct and disciplinary processes and so choose not to register with the Statutory Survey
