Post 43 Build it Journey

After a wonderful day off in Plett where I hiked the Robberg Peninsula (you HAVE to do this once in your life – scenery and beaches and wild rugged cliffs and crashing waves everywhere just absolutely spectacular) and then took it easy on the Lunds beautiful farm even having an afternoon 40 winks. What a luxury. Doug and I then watched South Africa conclude their 5 – 0 whitewash of Australia and my day was complete. I went to bed calm and happy, refreshed and content. What an amazing stop in Plett with the best friends anyone could ever hope for.
The morning was beautiful with the sun shining and everything crisp and clean. If you want to live to be 120 this is where you need to base yourself! I drove through the vines and out of the big white gates of the Newstead property, onto a short dust road and onto the N2 – my travels had started again
First up was mighty George where I met with the very smart and efficient Fanie who is one hell of a good guy. Fanie has been using our website and his listing on it to maximum benefit and is really happy with all the results. Can you believe that George Build It has had 208 visits and 115 leads. Absolutely amazing and wonderful. Our site is really working for Build It and I was so happy for Fanie and his George Build It team. With my heart flushed with (humble) pride and happiness I then started the long drive of just short of 300 kms to the next store which is in Bredasdorp.
At the Bredasdorp Build It I met with the awesome Ignus Verwey and what a great chat we had. After going through the listing – with Ignus also having a thorough understanding of the site and using it to his maximum benefit – we had an awesome chat about the banting diet we are both doing. It is making us both feel so much healthier with Ignus obviously being more disciplined than me having lost 9 kg’s in less than a month doing it. We really got on so well and what a pleasure to meet people like Ignus - such a legend and good guy.
I tried to then drive to Gansbaai but when I got to Napier which is on the way I suddenly felt very tired as it was late afternoon and I had driven 421 kms so far today. So I found this amazing little B & B with the nicest lady in the world who owns it - Freda – and stopped for the night. If you are ever stopping in Napier stay at El Gallo guesthouse – the number is on the door. Freda made me some banting muffins for breakfast and we got on like an absolute house on fire. I am just having the best luck on this trip – it’s amazing and it is such a privilege to visit all the Build It stores and remember this period of my life forever.
