I am staying at my friend Colette Barff”s place in Kenton and what a beautiful home she has. I am so lucky to be here and thank you so much Colette and Packy. You guys are such awesome and fun friends
I have also been lucky enough to meet Jenny who manages the agency that lets Colette’s home. She has been so kind and generous with time and help and just about everything. She came for a visit last night and this morning we met at 6 am and went for a wonderful walk on Kenton’s beautiful beach and alongside its river. After a delicious coffee at Jenny’s house after our walk (with the two best Jack Russell’s you could ever get – Jake and Mojo) I was ready for the day. What a way to start a day!
I headed down to Port Alfred where I met the most friendly and engaging Nushad. It was a great visit and I was very impressed with the layout of this store with so much space to walk around and the floors even carpeted! The cherry on the top was when we went into his Port Alfred Build It listing and saw the amazing stats of 69 unique visitors and no less than 47 leads that they have received so far. I must admit I felt humbly proud (is that an oxymoron) seeing that and was very excited for Nushad and his team. He was very chuffed too.
After that great meeting I was off on a very stop and go road to Peddie which took ages as there were roadworks almost the whole way there. On arrival I met with Trevor Acton who was very patient with me as we went through his listing together. More good results and a satisfied customer meant that again I had had a great day. I decided to take the N2 back to Kenton which is maybe a 20 km longer trip in distance but must have been about an hour or more shorter in time.
I arrived back ‘home’ in my lovely digs mid-afternoon and had a rare hour to unwind and drink my favourite tea and read the paper. Jenny then picked me up at 5 pm and we went off to movies in Port Alfred which was the 5 30 show. It was the first time I have been to movies in four or five years (I think). Jenny really has been so great to me and has gone so much out of her way to ensure that I am happy here in Kenton. What a kind and generous spirited person and I am so grateful to her. And I absolutely love her dogs. Little legends that they are
